Break a Leg....

While I was home in Utah, we went to Cedar City to watch my brother perform in the Shakespearean festival. I didn't even take a pic of him. Lame. It was such a fun trip. I haven't blogged this for a while, cause I really didn't know if I was okay with broadcasting to the whole world what an idiot I am....ANYWAY....The morning we left, I was changing Avree's diaper, and turned away for two seconds and she fell off the bed and fractured her femur. Long story. She twisted it, and landed on it weird. I felt horrible. She's had the cast on for two weeks now, and it doesn't seem to bother her at all! We went to the doc today, and it is healing perfect. She gets it off in two weeks!

Before..... so peaceful! This was the bed she fell off of :(

She was an angel at the doctor's office. They had a little plastic pillow for her to lay her head on,and she loved the way it sounded, and just played with it the whole time!

after... Peaceful once again! She has been so sweet.

Grandma and the cousins signing her cast

home in TX safe and sound!

Ave is such a trooper! I love that it doesn't slow her down! I think it gives her magical powers.
(and by the way you're rocking that hat like a supastar)

All I can say, is that I have had two different times where I let Lexi out of my site or made a stupid choice and she fell. Luckly she did not break her leg, but she could have gotten really hurt. It makes me realize how fragile these babies are, and how dependent they are on us. I am sooo sorry that you had to go through that, but please know that you are still an amazing mom and you cannot blame yourself for her getting hurt. We just need to learn from our mistakes and hope for the best. Averee is beautiful and she will be better then ever when that cast comes off. Is it not amazing how babies can get hurt and then they are smiling just a few minutes later. If I broke my leg I would be whining the whole time. LOL. Hang in there you are great!!!

Oh, bless her little heart! She's lucky!! Baby's heal so quickly from things! That femur is one of the worst bones to break!! I take it she missed the growth plate and everything right? Okay, I'm getting too medical, huh? She's a doll, though with her cast on!
